Success Stories

Arif Riaz Khan

Did my DAE in the Electronics batch of 2005. Later on, got admission to BSc Electronics in Govt College Peshawar, But meanwhile, I got an offer from Pakistan State Oil as an Associate Engineer in the aviation department. I did my Engineering in Electronics from Lahore along with a job. Got promoted to Aviation Officer in 2009. Later on, got a distinction in MBA with a 3.4 GPA in 2014.

I was part of the testing and commissioning of the New Islamabad International Airport in 2017 and successfully accomplished all its testing and commissioning parameters.

I got a promotion to the level of Assistant Manager of BPS 18 and I am still serving at Islamabad Airport after the successful starting of the New Airport in 2018, I was awarded the Award of Appreciation from Minister of aviation Mehtab Abbasi.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Being part of PSO, I have achieved the following milestones in my career:

  1. In 2019, I secured 1st Position for the motherland PAKISTAN among 16 countries participants in Aviation training held in France and Germany.
  2. During my assignment on HSE and Operation, our Aviation location stood 1st three 3 times among 10 Aviation locations.
  3. I secured 1st position in Hazard Hunt Competition three 3 times which was launched all over Pakistan.
  4. I have trained OJT to hundreds of employees during my service.

I feel very proud to be an alumna of the Government College of Technology Peshawar and I cordially thank all my beloved teachers and mentors whose guidance and knowledgeable me serve my motherland Pakistan.

Muhammad Usman

Completed DAE Mechanical Technology in 2012 from Government College of Technology Peshawar. Afterward completed my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from CECOS University of IT & Emerging Sciences Peshawar.

After DAE completion I got selected as an Internee in Pakistan Locomotive Factory Risalpur for 3 months of training in different Mechanical Departments i.e fabrication, Alignment, commissioning, forging shop, and HVAC system.

After my internship, I’ve been selected by Technicon Engineering Pvt LTD (construction firm) as a Sub Engineer Mechanical where I have to furnish my abilities in the Mechanical field for good 9 months.

The following projects were  under my supervision:

  • Warsak Dam shutdown GFC-II
  • Warsak Dam unit 2 upgradation & maintenance work
  • Fabrication, Machining & Installation of Trash Rack Cleaning Machine(TRCM) in Tarbela Dam.
  • Fabrication & Machining of Piles & cones for Amandara Swat bridge.
  • All Fabrication & Machining Work of Munda Head Works

This time I Joined the Automobile Industry which I was fond of since my childhood.

Yes, I’ve joined Toyota Khyber Motors an authorized 3S Dealership of  Indus Motor Company Pakistan.

I’ve excelled in my technical & operational skills in this field for good 4.5 years.

Achievements:

1) Got 1st Position in North Region for representing  Toyota Khyber Motors as an authorized Service Advisor.

2) Got Certification in Communication & interpersonal skills from Indus Motors Company Pakistan.

3) Got Certification in Customer Satisfaction & Kaizen Evolution training from Indus Motors Company Pakistan.

4) Got the Best Service Advisor Award from Toyota Khyber Motors.

5) Got Technical Certification in Fix It Right(FIR) (Right The First Time) course from Indus Motors Company Pakistan.

6) Appeared in National Skills Contest across Pakistan at Indus Motors Company Karachi Pakistan & got Appreciation Certificate on representing Toyota Khyber Motors.

Currently, I am working with MG Khyber motors. I’m serving as Manager After Sales at MG Khyber Peshawar.

Providing OJT to numerous technical & nontechnical students, and internees.

Performing my daily routine operations includes: technical reports, Monthly Reports, Business Reports, and Warranty Reports other than that I also troubleshoot the vehicle codes via the vehicle diagnosis interface.

During my time at MG, I’ve attended some major training:

1) Technical training on MG ZS EV(Electric Vehicle)

2) Product & Technical Training on MG HS

3) Technical Training on MG HS PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle)

Abid Aziz

I am Abid Aziz son of Ghulam Akbar and completed my DAE in Auto & Diesel from GCT Peshawar. During my study I used to visit a local workshop for practice in 2nd time. After completion of my degree, I joined different dealerships in Peshawar. Today I am operating my own business with the Name of Abid CNG at workshop. I feel Proud that at least 35 peoples are working in my workshop. In addition to this, I have also obtained different dealerships from the well known national automotive companies. Currently I am serving GCT Peshawar as an IMC Member.
