MISSION<\/h3>\n

The Mission of Civil Engineering Technology is to serve the Engineering Technologist Profession by offering high-quality education in link with the market needs to improve the employability of youth. It also aims at contributing to the socio-economic development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by providing services focus on Layout evaluation of different Civil Engineering Technology parameters.<\/p>\n

Introduction<\/h3>\n

It is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the planning, operation, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including work such as buildings, bridges, flyovers, underpass roads, Railway tracks, airports, docks, harbors, factories, and sewerage system, etc. B. Tech degree holder has sufficient opportunities of getting jobs in various Govt. \/ private departments i.e. Works, WAPDA, Civil Aviation Authority, NHA, NESPAK, Descon Engineering limited, and many other reputed organizations.
The course of study leading to the Degree of B. Sc Engineering Technology Civil has been planned to offer a broad spectrum of Civil Technology subjects. The curriculum lays emphasis on the design of structures, irrigation, foundation and pavements, concrete technology, hydraulics, hydrology, computer-aided analysis, and design application of GIS in Civil Technology and Communication skills.
In addition to the course work, the final year students are required to work on a project under the guidance of senior faculty members.<\/p>\n

PEO 1<\/strong>: To enable the students to work consistently by providing a solid foundation and training them in market oriented       technical and management skills.<\/p>\n

PEO 2<\/strong>: To attain the analytical expertise for improving employability by analyzing the challenging problems in the field of Civil Engineering Technology and developing the necessary and suitable tools for them.<\/p>\n

Field Visits:<\/strong>
Field visits to Civil Engineering Projects of national importance are arranged for students. The final year students and faculty members visit facilities and projects with high technical merit.<\/p>\n

LABORATORIES:<\/strong>
The Department is supported by well-equipped laboratories having the latest machinery and equipment. It has the following laboratories.
1) Construction and concrete laboratory.
2) Hydraulics laboratory (Shared with Mechanical)
3) Soil mechanics & highway engineering laboratory.
4) Computer laboratory.
5) Surveying laboratory. 6) Material Testing laboratory<\/p>\n
